Eric is the ultimate support system. Not only is he Carrie's pianist, but he also plays the roles of egg-shaker, finger-snapper, accordianist, drummer and bassist in Carrie's 2008 recording, "a look inside." (Did we mention he is also her devoted husband of three years?)
A composer at heart, Wisconsin native Eric graduated with a Bachelor's of Music in Composition from Moody Bible Institute, Chicago, IL, and currently works as a freelance composer and pianist. Winner of the Dupage Symphony Orchestra Composition Contest, "Fanfare for our Fiftieth," Eric is now celebrating his first two official publications under Alliance Press with his arrangement of an Irish folk song, "Mick McGuire," for men's ensemble, and under GIA with his polyrhythmic setting of "Angels We Have Heard on High" for SATB Acapella.

In his own words, Petras was born in the bellows of child birth as is everyone else though was not entrusted to the care of typical family but rather a life spent learning the virtues of keeping a clean barrel and a cask full of intoxicating libations. As for music he was inclined towards the guitar then progressed to other instruments from there including bass, drums, oak doors and vacuum cleaners amongst others. He displayed an affinity towards music recording and production while also learning how to create sounds some might deem worthy of such attention which has led him from the depths of a fire pit to the heights of the soapbox. He currently bides his time in the city giving attention to a slew of taunting books, persistent melody and a loving other that displays patience that wearies a clock.
Beginning a career in music can be daunting and challenging. But if you have the help of talented friends, it can also be great fun! This honorable mention goes to Daniel Phelps, recording engineer and dear friend to Carrie, because she would have never begun recording without him. Carrie's first three albums ("Center of Attention", "To the Loves of My Life", and "Trust Me to Stay"), along with two of the songs currently on her playlist ("Bittersweet" and "Five Till Ten") were recorded and mixed with the help of Daniel's remarkable ear and inexplicable patience. Daniel received a Bachelor's Degree in Music Engineering and Technology from Elizabeth City State University, NC, in 2005, and currently works as an audio engineer for Narrow Minded Productions (his own studio), and as a video editor for WNCT-TV in Greenville, North Carolina.
